77 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death reported, 129 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (18), South Central (12), North Central (10), Far North West (9), North West (8), Regina (8), South East (7), South West (2), Far North East (1), and Central East (1)

There is one new death to report today in the 70 to 79 age group in the Central East zone. 

That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 553.

There are 77 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on June 10, 2021.

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (18), South Central (12), North Central (10), Far North West (9), North West (8), Regina (8), South East (7), South West (2), Far North East (1), and Central East (1). 

Eleven of the 12 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

One case is pending residence information.  

Eight cases with pending residence information have been assigned to the following zones: Regina (4), North Central (2), Far North West (1), and North West (1).

Eighteen cases who tested out of province were added to the following regions: Regina (8), Saskatoon (7), North Central (1), Central West (1), and there is one case with pending resident information. 

One case in the South Central zone was found not to be a Saskatchewan resident and removed from the case count. 

There are now 47,668 reported cases, including 902 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 79 (6.4 per 100,000).  

As of June 9, 11,504 variants of concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,721), Saskatoon (1,965), South East (1,103), South Central (839), North West (715), Central East (626), North Central (536), South West (388), Far North West (274), Central West (120), North East (75), Far North East (74), and Far North Central (1). There are 67 screened VOCs with residence pending.

No new lineage results were reported for Variants of Concern today. Of the 6,115 VOCs with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing in Saskatchewan, 5,866 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 194 are Gamma (P.1), 45 are Delta (B.1.617.2) and 10 are Beta (B.1.351).

An additional 16,787 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 845,439. 

The 16,787 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered to residents living in the following zones: Saskatoon (4,858), Regina (3,598), North Central (1,297), South East (1,219), North West (1,184), Central East (1,120), South West (816), South Central (799), North East (619), Central West (501), Far North West (257), Far North East (228), and Far North Central (5). There were 286 doses administered with zone of residence pending.

There are 101 people in hospital. Eighty-two people are receiving inpatient care, including one patient from Manitoba, in the following zones: Regina (29), Saskatoon (26), North West (12), North Central (5), Central East (4), South Central (3), Far North West (1), South West (1), and South East (1). Nineteen people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (8), North Central (4), Regina (4), North West (1), Central East (1), and South West (1). 

One hundred and twenty-nine more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 46,213 recoveries.

There were 2,503 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on June 9. To date, 882,144 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
