601 COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths, 508 recoveries

There are ten new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 695.

There are 601 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 30, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (165), Regina (98), North West (65), North Central (45), South East (43), Far North West (34), South West (34), Central East (25), South Central (24), North East (14), Far North East (14) and Central West (7).

Eighteen of the 24 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Thirty-three cases are pending residence information.

Above one third (34.9 per cent) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 520 individuals were unvaccinated, 13 were partially vaccinated, and 68 were fully vaccinated. 

Fifteen previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to: Far North East (7), Saskatoon (6), North Central (5), North West (3), Regina (2), Central East (1) and Far North West (1).

There are now 67,339 reported cases, including 4,669 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 488 (40.5 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 4,792 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,557,678. More information about vaccines is available on the government’s website.

There are 307 people in hospital. Two hundred and thirty-five people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (76), Regina (45), North West (35), North Central (32), South West (16), South East (9), South Central (8), Central East (5), Far North West (3), North East (3) and Central West (3). Seventy-two people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (32), Regina (17), South West (6), Cental East (6), North West (5), North Central (4) and South Central (2).

Of the 307 patients, 228 (74.3 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Five hundred and eight more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 61,975 recoveries.

There were 4,375 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,134,094 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
