6 new COVID-19 cases, 6 recoveries

There are six new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan, as of Sept. 10.  

The new cases are located in the Far North East (1), Saskatoon (1), Central West (1), Central East (1) and Regina (1) zones.

The location of the sixth case is pending.

There are now 1,676 reported cases, including 59 active cases.  

One person is in hospital receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon.

Six more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 1,593 recoveries.

Of the 1,676 cases in the province:

  • 257 cases are travellers;
  • 839 are community contacts (including mass gatherings);
  • 498 have no known exposures; and
  • 82 are under investigation by local public health

On a regional level:

  • 428 cases from the south area (218 south west, 197 south central, 13 south east);
  • 356 cases from the far north area (349 far north west, 7 far north east);
  • 278 cases from the Saskatoon area;
  • 270 cases from the north area (131 north west, 73 north central, 66 north east);
  • 205 cases from the central area (167 central west, 38 central east); and
  • 138 cases from the Regina area.

Twenty-four deaths have been reported to date.

A total of 153,649 COVID‐19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan. Yesterday, 1,120 COVID-19 tests were performed.
