552 COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths, 436 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (124), North West (77), Regina (64), North Central (38), South Central (36), South East (36), Central East (36), South West (33), Far North West (21), Far North East (19), Central West (17), North East (16) with 35 cases pending residence.

There are three new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 670.

There are 552 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 26, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (124), North West (77), Regina (64), North Central (38), South Central (36), South East (36), Central East (36), South West (33), Far North West (21), Far North East (19), Central West (17), North East (16)

Fourteen of the 36 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Thirty-five cases are pending residence information.

More than one quarter (27.5 per cent) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 431 individuals were unvaccinated, 35 were partially vaccinated, and 86 were fully vaccinated. 

Eighteen previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to: Regina (8), North Central (8), North West (4), Far North West (2), Saskatoon (2), South West (2), South East (2) and South Central (1). 

There are now 65,501 reported cases, including 4,864 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 478 (39.7 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 3,893 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,546,180. More information about vaccines is available on the government’s website.

There are 281 people in hospital. Two hundred and eighteen people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (72), North West (41), Regina (36), North Central (29), South West (16), Far North West (6) South East (6), Central East (5), Central West (4) and South Central (3). Sixty-three people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (27), Regina (14), North Central (7), South West (5), North West (4) South Central (3) and Central East (3).

Of the 281 patients, 222 (79 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Four hundred and thirty-six more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 59,967 recoveries.

There were 4,053 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,118,042 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
