528 COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths and 503 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (96), North West (96), North Central (57), Regina (48), Far North West (37), South East (34), South Central (32), South West (28), Central East (20), Far North East (18), North East (16) and Central West (15) with 31 cases pending residence.

There are five new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 663.

There are 528 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 24, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (96), North West (96), North Central (57), Regina (48), Far North West (37), South East (34), South Central (32), South West (28), Central East (20), Far North East (18), North East (16) and Central West (15).

Twenty-five of the 32 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Thirty-one cases are pending residence information.

Less than one third (31.6 per cent) of new cases are in the 19 to 39 category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 426 individuals were unvaccinated, 27 were partially vaccinated, and 75 were fully vaccinated. 

Twenty previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to: South Central (6), Regina (4), Saskatoon (4), North Central (3), Far North East (2) and Central East (1). 

There are now 64,402 reported cases, including 4,734 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 478 (39.7 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 5,066 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,537,270. More information about vaccines is available on the government’s website.

There are 276 people in hospital. Two hundred and fifteen people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (77), North West (32), Regina (31), North Central (30), South West (11), South East (7), Central East (7), South Central (7), Far North West (6), Central West (6), and North East (1) . Sixty-one people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (26), Regina (12), North Central (7), South West (5), North West (4) South Central (4) and Central East (3).

Of the 276 patients, 216 (78.3 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Five hundred and three more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 59,005 recoveries.

There were 3,957 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,109,805 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
