519 COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths and 431 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (136), North West (63), North Central (53), Regina (47), Central East (33), South Central (26), Far North West (23), Far North East (21)  South West (21), North East (20), South East (19), Central West (10), and North Central (1) with 39 cases pending residence information.

There is two new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 641.

There are 519 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 20, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (136), North West (63), North Central (53), Regina (47), Central East (33), South Central (26), Far North West (23), Far North East (21)  South West (21), North East (20), South East (19), Central West (10), and North Central (1).

Twenty of the 26 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Thirty-nine cases are pending residence information.

Over one-third (32.9 per cent) of new cases are in the 20-39 age category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 407 individuals were unvaccinated, 29 were partially vaccinated, and 83 were fully vaccinated. Of the 440 unvaccinated people, 89 are children between the ages of 0 and 11.

Thirteen previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to the Saskatoon (4), Far North East (2), North Central (2), North West (2), North East (2), South Central (1) and South East (1).

There are now 62,620 reported cases, including 4,672 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 494 (41 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 2,623 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,522,709.

There are 253 people in hospital. One hundred and ninety-seven people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (81), Regina (27), North West (28), North Central (23), South West (8), North East (7), Far North West (9), South East (4), Central East (4), Central West (3), and South Central (3). Fifty-six people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (24), Regina (13), North Central (7), South Central (4), North West (3), Central East (3), and South West (3).

Of the 253 patients, 189 (74.7 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Four hundred and thirty-one more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 57,307 recoveries.

There were 3,940 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,094, 674 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
