460 COVID-19 cases, 7 deaths, 444 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (123), Regina (59), North West (53), South East (47), South West (38), North Central (36), Central East (28), South Central (18), Far North East (10), Far North West (8) North East (8), Central West (6) and Far North Central (5) with 21 pending residence.

There are seven new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 658.

There are 460 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 23, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (123), Regina (59), North West (53), South East (47), South West (38), North Central (36), Central East (28), South Central (18), Far North East (10), Far North West (8) North East (8), Central West (6) and Far North Central (5).

Seventeen of the 18 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Twenty one cases are pending residence information.

Over one third (35.9 per cent) of new cases are in the 19 and under age category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 381 individuals were unvaccinated, 22 were partially vaccinated, and 57 were fully vaccinated. 

Thirty previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to: Saskatoon (3), South Central (3), Far North East (2), North West (2), Far North West (1), North Central (1), and South West (1). 

There are now 63,875 reported cases, including 4,716 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 470 (39 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 4,933 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,532,204. More information about vaccines is available on the government’s website.

There are 273 people in hospital. Two hundred and fifteen people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (81), Regina (32), North West (26), North Central (23), South West (15), South East (10), Central East (7), Far North West (6), Central West (6), South Central (6) and North East (3) . Fifty-eight people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (25), Regina (13), North Central (7), South West (4), North West (4) South Central (3) and Central East (2).

Of the 262 patients, 207 (75.8 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Four hundred and forty-four more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 58,502 recoveries.

There were 3,874 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,105,848 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
