449 COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths, 490 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (103), North West (72), Regina (48), North Central (38), South Central (27), South East (25), Far North East (23), South West (22), Far North West (20), Central East (15), Central West (11), North East (10) and North Central (2) with 33 pending residence.

There are ten new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 682.

There are 449 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 28, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (103), North West (72), Regina (48), North Central (38), South Central (27), South East (25), Far North East (23), South West (22), Far North West (20), Central East (15), Central West (11), North East (10) and North Central (2).

Twenty-three of the 27 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Thirty-three cases are pending residence information.

Nearly one-third (31 per cent) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 373 individuals were unvaccinated, 18 were partially vaccinated, and 58 were fully vaccinated. 

Fifteen previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to: North Central (3), Far North East (3), Far North West (2) Central East (2), Regina (2), South Central (1), South East (1) and Saskatoon (1).

There are now 66,343 reported cases, including 4,734 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 472 (39.2 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 648 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,549,338. More information about vaccines is available on the government’s website.

There are 311 people in hospital. Two hundred and forty-six people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (75), Regina (50), North West (44), North Central (28), South West (17), South East (9), South Central (7), Central East (6), Far North West (4), North East (3) and Central West (3). Sixty-five people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (29), Regina (17), South West (5), North West (4), Central East (4), North Central (3) and South Central (3).

Of the 311 patients, 240 (77.2 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Four hundred and ninety more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 60,927 recoveries.

There were 4,249 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,126,076 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
