43 new COVID-19 cases, 26 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West (10), Saskatoon (6), North West (5), South East (5), North Central (3), South Central (3), Far North Central (2), Central East (2), and Far North East (1), with six cases pending residence information

There are 43 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 1, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West (10), Saskatoon (6), North West (5), South East (5), North Central (3), South Central (3), Far North Central (2), Central East (2), and Far North East (1). 

All three of the new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Six cases are pending residence information.  

There are now 50,067 reported cases, including 496 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 53 (4.4 new cases per 100,000). 

There are no additional deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 578.

A total of 12,356 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,831), Saskatoon (2,149), South East (1,156), South Central (892), North West (872), Central East (654), North Central (639), South West (416), Far North West (337), Central West (150), Far North East (87), North East (86), and Far North Central (4). There are 83 screened VOCs with residence pending.

An additional 4,099 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,415,596.

There are 48 people in hospital. Thirty-seven people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (18), Regina (13), North Central (3), Far North West (1), North West (1), and South East (1). Eleven people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (5), Regina (5), and North Central (1).

Twenty-six more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 48,993 recoveries.

There were 1,164 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on July 29. To date, 963,501 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
