There is one new death to report today in the 40 to 49 age group from the North West zone.
That brings the provincial total to 579 deaths.
There are 43 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on July 26, 2021.
The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North East (20), Far North West (12), Saskatoon (5), Far North Central (1), North Central (1), South Central (1), and South West (1).
The new case in the South Central is located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.
Two cases are pending residence information.
One case tested out-of-province was added to the Saskatoon zone.
There are now 49,727 reported cases, including 356 active cases.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 38 (3.2 new cases per 100,000).
A total of 12,339 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,831), Saskatoon (2,140), South East (1,156), South Central (892), North West (866), Central East (654), North Central (639), South West (416), Far North West (337), Central West (150), Far North East (87), North East (84), and Far North Central (4). There are 83 screened VOCs with residence pending.
No new lineage results were reported for Variants of Concern today. Of the 7,961 VOCs with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing in Saskatchewan, 7,027 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 505 are Delta (B.1.617.2), 419 are Gamma (P.1), and 10 are Beta (B.1.351).
An additional 2,542 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,388,330.
The additional 2,542 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered to residents living in the following zones: Saskatoon (910), Regina (760), Central East (178), North Central (127), North West (108), South Central (84), South East (76), Far North West (73), South West (43), Central West (42), North East (29), Far North East (16), and Far North Central (1). There were 95 doses administered with zone of residence pending.

There are 55 people in hospital. Forty-five people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (16), Regina (15), North West (6), North Central (4), South Central (2), Far North West (1), and South East (1). Ten people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (6), Regina (3), and North Central (1).
Twenty-three more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 48,792 recoveries.
There were 931 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on July 25. To date, 954,126 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
