426 COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths, 415 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (91), Regina (64), North West (60), Central East (42), North Central (29), South East (26), Far North East (22), South Central (16), Far North West (15), Central West (14), South West (14) and North East (7) with 30 cases pending residence.

There are five new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 651.

There are 426 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 22, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (91), Regina (64), North West (60), Central East (42), North Central (29), South East (26), Far North East (22), South Central (16), Far North West (15), Central West (14), South West (14) and North East (7).

Ten of the 16 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Twenty six cases are pending residence information.

Two fifth (38 per cent) of new cases are in the 19 and under age category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 340 individuals were unvaccinated, 12 were partially vaccinated, and 74 were fully vaccinated. 

Thirty previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to Far North West (5), Saskatoon (5), South Central (4), North East (4), Far North East (3), South West (2), Central West (2), South East (2), Regina (1), North Central (1) and North West (1).

There are now 63,415 reported cases, including 4,706 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 476 (38.8 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 3,722 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,527,271. More information about vaccines is available on the government’s website.

There are 265 people in hospital. Two hundred and eleven people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (87), Regina (30), North West (22), North Central (20), South West (15), South East (8), South Central (7), Central East (6), Far North West (6), North East (5) and Central West (5). Fifty-four people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (26), Regina (9), North Central (7), South West (3), South Central (3), Central East (3) and North West (3).

Of the 262 patients, 201 (75.8 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Four hundred and fifteen more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 58,058 recoveries.

There were 3,559 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,101, 974 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
