398 COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths, 470 recoveries

There are two new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 672.

There are 398 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 27, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (147), North Central (43), Regina (32), North West (32), South West (23), Far North West (19), Central East (18), Central West (17), North East (16), Far North East (14), South East (13) and South Central (7).

All seven of the 7 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Seventeen cases are pending residence information.

Nearly one-third (32.4 per cent) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 333 individuals were unvaccinated, 14 were partially vaccinated, and 51 were fully vaccinated. 

Nineteen previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to: North West (7), North Central (5), Regina (4), Saskatoon (2) and Far North West (1).

There are now 65,897 reported cases, including 4,788 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 461 (38.3 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 2,510 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,548,690. More information about vaccines is available on the government’s website.

There are 289 people in hospital. Two hundred and twenty-six people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (74), Regina (42), North West (40), North Central (28), South West (17), South East (7), Far North West (5), Central East (5), Central West (4) and South Central (4). Sixty-three people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (27), Regina (15), North Central (5), South West (5), North West (4) South Central (4) and Central East (3).

Of the 281 patients, 225 (78.4 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Four hundred and seventy more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 60,437 recoveries.

There were 3,779 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,121,821 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
