382 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths reported, 231 recoveries

Four Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Two new deaths in the 60 to 69 age group were reported in the North East (1) and South East (1) zones. Two new deaths in the 80-plus age group were reported in the Saskatoon (1) and South East (1) zones. That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 210.

There are 382 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on January 15, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the Saskatoon (88), Far North West (46), North West (45), Regina (42), North Central (38), North East (36), South East (30), Far North East (24), Central East (14), South Central (4), Far North Central (2), Central West (2), and South West (1) zones.

Three of the four new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Ten new cases have pending residence information.

Four cases tested out of province were found to be Saskatchewan residents and added to the counts in the Far North West (2), Far North East (1), and North West (1) zones.

Thirteen cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Far North West (6). Regina (3), Far North East (2), North Central (1), and North East (1) zones.

There are now 19,715 reported cases, including 4,010 active cases.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 320 (26.4 new cases per 100,000 population).

As of Jan. 15, a total of 14,017 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Saskatchewan.

Two thousand and thirty-two doses were administered in the Saskatoon (674), North Central (549), Regina (386), North East (202), Far North West (191), and Far North East (30) zones. Numbers from the Far North Central zone have not yet been reported.

Two hundred and ten people are in hospital. One hundred and seventy-five people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (48), Regina (40), North Central (36), North East (14), North West (11), South East (10), Central East (9), Far North West (3), Far North Central (2), Far North East (1), and South West (1). Thirty-five people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (15), Regina (11), North Central (5), North West (2), Central East (1), and South Central (1).

Two hundred and thirty-one more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 15,495 recoveries.

There were 3,455 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Jan. 14, 2021. To date, 465,390 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
