372 COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths and 336 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (50), Regina (49), North Central (46), North West (42), Far North East (41), South East (18), Central East (17), South West (14), South Central (14), Central West (13), North East (11), Far North West (9) and Far North Central (3) with 45 cases pending residence.

There are five new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 646.

There are 372 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 21, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (50), Regina (49), North Central (46), North West (42), Far North East (41), South East (18), Central East (17), South West (14), South Central (14), Central West (13), North East (11), Far North West (9) and Far North Central (3)

Six  of the 14 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Forty-five cases are pending residence information.

Over one-forth (29.8 per cent) of new cases are in the 20-39 age category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 299 individuals were unvaccinated, 15 were partially vaccinated, and 58 were fully vaccinated. 

Twenty previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to South Central (9), North West (4), Far North West (2), North East (2), Saskatoon (2) and Central East (1).  

There are now 62,989 reported cases, including 4,700 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 474 (39 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 840 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,523,549. More information about vaccines is available on the government’s website.

There are 262 people in hospital. Two hundred and eight people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (90), Regina (29), North West (25), North Central (21), South West (8), South Central (7), North East (7)Central West (6), Far North West (6), South East (5) and Central East (4). Fifty-four people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (24), Regina (9), North Central (8), South West (4), South Central (4), Central East (3) and North West (2).

Of the 262 patients, 193 (73.3 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Three hundred and thirty-six more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 57,643 recoveries.

There were 3,741 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,098,415 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
