309 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths reported, 412 recoveries

Six Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One reported death was in the 60 to 69 age group in the Central West zone. Five new deaths in the 80-plus age group were reported in the Regina (2), South East (2), and Saskatoon (1) zones. That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 225.

There are 309 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Jan. 19, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the Saskatoon (69), Regina (43), North Central (30), North West (29), Far North West (25), Central East (19), South East (19), Far North East (18), Far North Central (16), North East (10), South West (3), and Central West (3) zones. 

Twenty-five new cases have pending residence information.

Seven cases with pending residence information were assigned to the North Central (4), Far North West (1), North West (1), and Regina (1) zones.

There are now 20,871 reported cases, including 4,156 active cases.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 300 (24.7 new cases per 100,000 population).

There were 1,957 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered yesterday in Saskatchewan. This brings the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 24,575.

The doses were administered in the following zones: Saskatoon (688), Regina (401), South East (383), Far North East (200), North West (132), Central East (117), and North Central (36). 

Two hundred and seven people are in hospital. One hundred and seventy-six people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (56), Regina (45), North Central (24), North West (11), South East (10), Central East (10), North East (9), Far North West (7), Far North Central (1), Central West (1), South West (1), and South Central (1). Thirty-one people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (15), Regina (8), North Central (4), North West (3), and South Central (1).

Four hundred and twelve more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 16,490 recoveries.

There were 2,929 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Jan. 17. To date, 476,533 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
