27 new COVID-19 cases, 52 recoveries

There are 27 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on July 4, 2021.

The new cases reported today are located in the following zones: Regina (9), Saskatoon (8), Far North West (7), North West (1), and South East (1).   

One new case is pending residence information.

There are now 48,958 reported cases, including 396 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 33.  

There are no additional deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 568. 

A total of 12,204 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,806), Saskatoon (2,123), South East (1,145), South Central (889), North West (835), Central East (651), North Central (633), South West (401), Far North West (324), Central West (146), Far North East (87), North East (80), and Far North Central (3). There are 81 screened VOCs with residence pending.

An additional 13,445 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,202,927.

There are 63 people in hospital. Fifty-three people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (22), Regina (12), North Central (7), North West (4), South Central (4), Central East (2), Central West (1), and South East (1). Ten people are in intensive care in the following zones: Regina (4), Saskatoon (3), North Central (2), and North West (1),.  

Fifty-two more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 47,994 recoveries. 

There were 789 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on July 3. To date, 922,771 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
