27 new COVID-19 cases, 47 recoveries

There are 27 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on July 13, 2021.

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North East (10), Far North West (5), North West (3), South East (3), Saskatoon (2), Central East (2), Regina (1), and South West (1).  

Two out-of-province cases were removed from the North West (1) and Central East (1) zones.

There are now 49,304 reported cases, including 375 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 44 (3.6 per 100,000).  

There are no additional deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 573.

A total of 12,284 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,829), Saskatoon (2,131), South East (1,151), South Central (890), North West (844), Central East (651), North Central (637), South West (414), Far North West (334), Central West (149), Far North East (87), North East (81), and Far North Central (4). There are 82 screened VOCs with residence pending.

There were 78 new lineage results reported for Variants of Concern today. Of the 7,747 VOCs with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing in Saskatchewan, 6,952 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 408 are Gamma (P.1), 377 are Delta (B.1.617.2) and 10 are Beta (B.1.351).

An additional 2,419 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,307,065.

The additional 2,419 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered to residents living in the following zones: Saskatoon (761), North West (571), Regina (548), North Central (149), South East (67), Central East (59), Far North West (46), Central West (36), North East (31), Far North East (25), South Central (23), and South West (17). There were 86 doses administered with zone of residence pending.

There are 57 people in hospital. Forty-seven people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (20), Regina (13), North West (5), North Central (5), Central East (2), and South East (2). Ten people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (4), Regina (4), North West (1), and North Central (1).

Forty-seven more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 48,356 recoveries.

There were 1,234 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on July 12. To date, 937,084 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
