264 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths reported, 145 recoveries

Four Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Two deaths were reported in the 50 to 59 age group from the Far North West (1) and North West (1) zones; and two deaths were reported in the 80-plus age group from the Regina (1) and South East (1) zones.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 336.

There are 264 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Feb. 6, 2021.

The new cases are located in the Regina (61), Saskatoon (58), North West (31), Central East (27), North Central (13), Far North West (12), South East (11), Far North East (9), North East (9), Central West (7), South Central (6), and Far North Central (4) zones. 

Four of the new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Sixteen cases are pending residence information.

Eight previously reported cases with pending resident information were assigned to the Regina (2), Far North West (1), Far North East (1), North West (1), North Central (1), Central East (1), and South East (1) zones.  One case was found to be a duplicate and removed from the Regina zone.

There are now 25,209 reported cases, including 2,413 active cases.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 226 (18.4 new cases per 100,000 population). 

There were 2,412 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 41,254.  

The 2,412 doses were administered in the following zones: North Central (920), Saskatoon (595), North West (545), Central East (145), South East (142), Far North Central (54), and Far North East (11). Back-dated corrections submitted for Feb. 4 have realized an additional 132 doses of vaccine administered in the Central East (83) and South East (49) zones.

Two hundred and seven people are in hospital. One hundred and eighty people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (67), Regina (50), North Central (22), North West (21), Central East (10), South East (4), North East (3), Far North West (2), and  Central West (1). Twenty-seven people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (11), Regina (10), Central East (3), North West (1), North Central (1), and South West (1).

One hundred and forty-five more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 22,460 recoveries.

There were 3,149 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Feb. 5. To date, 524,222 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
