244 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths reported, 190 recoveries

Four Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Two deaths were reported in the 70 to 79 age group from the Saskatoon zone, one death was reported in the 80-plus age group from the Central East zone, and one death was reported in the 80-plus age group from the North West zone.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 354.

There are 244 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Feb. 13, 2021.

The new cases are located in the Saskatoon (66), Regina (55), North West (30), Far North West (23), North Central (18), Central East (14), Far North Central (9), North East (8), Far North East (6), Central West (6), South East (5), South West (1), and South Central (1) zones.  

The new case in the South Central is located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Two cases are pending resident information.

Seven previously reported cases with pending residence information have been assigned to the following zones: North Central (4), Far North West (2), and Central East (1).

There are now 26,389 reported cases, including 1,950 active cases.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 167 (13.7 new cases per 100,000 population).

There were 1,691 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 48,566. With this, 104 per cent of the doses received have been administered to date. This overage is due to efficiencies in drawing extra doses from vials of vaccine received.

Central East has reported an additional 32 doses and South East has reported an additional 28 doses administered on Feb. 10. On Feb. 11, Central East administered an additional seven doses, and South East administered 20 additional doses.

The 1,691 doses were administered in the following zones: North Central (1,061), North East (450), Far North West (118), Far North Central (31), Saskatoon (25). and Central West (6).

There are 187 people in hospital.  One hundred and sixty-seven people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (55), Regina (44), North Central (22), North West (19), Central East (11), South East (7), North East (3), Far North West (2), Far North East (2), Central West (1), and South West (1). Twenty people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (8), Regina (7), North Central (2), Central East (2), and North West (1).

One hundred and ninety more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 24,085 recoveries.

There were 3,157 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Feb. 12. To date, 541,244 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
