There are 224 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Mar. 27, 2021.
The new cases are located in the Regina (122), Saskatoon (28), South Central (18), North East (13), South East (11), North West (10), North Central (9), Far North West (4), Central West (4), Central East (3), and Far North East (2) zones.
All 18 of the new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.
Four cases with pending residence have been assigned to the following zones: Regina (2), North West (1), and North East (1).
There are no new deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 430.
There are now 32,783 reported cases, including 1,817 active cases.
The seven-day average of daily new cases is 190 (15.5 new cases per 100,000).
Variants of concern (VOC) are beginning to rise across southern Saskatchewan, particularly in the Moose Jaw area. As of Mar. 26, 1,240 variants of concern (VOC) have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the Regina (1,041), South Central (80), South East (75), Central East (24), Saskatoon (18), Far North East (1), and Central West (1) zones.
There are 21 new lineage results reported today. Of the 494 VOCs with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing in Saskatchewan, 486 are B1.1.1.7 (UK) and eight are B1.351 (SA).
An additional 4,814 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 167,509.
The 4,814 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered in the following regions: Saskatoon (1,517), Regina (1,372), Central East (1,371), North Central (239), North West (203), South Central (91), Far North East (11), and Far North Central (10).

One hundred fifty-two people are in hospital. One hundred and twenty-seven people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Regina (56), Saskatoon (38), Central East (9), South East (8), North Central (7), North West (5), Far North East (1), North East (1), South West (1), and South Central (1). Twenty-five people are in intensive care in the following zones: Regina (16), Saskatoon (5), Central East (2), South West (1) and South Central (1).
Eighty-seven more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 30,536 recoveries.
There were 4,103 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Mar. 26. To date, 652,355 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
