211 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death reported, 142 recoveries

One Saskatchewan resident who tested positive for COVID-19 has died. The death was reported in the 80-plus age group from the North West zone.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 380.

There are 211 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Feb. 25, 2021.

The new cases are located in the Regina (80), Saskatoon (37), Far North West (24), North West (16), Central East (13), South Central (7), Far North Central (6), North Central (5), Central West (5), South East (4), Far North East (3), North East (3), and South West (1) zones.

All seven of the new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Seven cases have pending residence information.  

Seven previously reported cases with pending residence information were assigned to the North Central (3), Far North East (2), and Regina (2) zones.

There are now 28,191 reported cases, including 1,493 active cases.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 155 (12.7 new cases per 100,000). 

There were 2,057 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 65,436.  

The 2,057 doses were administered in the Regina (1,197), Saskatoon (351), South East (316), South Central (134), Far North Central (30), Central East (13), North East (10), and North West (6) zones. On Feb. 23, an additional 16 doses were administered in the Far North West zone and an additional 18 doses were administered in the Central East zone.

One hundred and fifty-six people are in hospital. One hundred and thirty-eight people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (52), Regina (38), North Central (13), North West (11), Central East (7), Far North West (5), South East (4), South Central (3), Far North East (2), Far North Central (1), North East (1), and Central West (1). Eighteen people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (9), Regina (6), North West (2), and North Central (1).

One hundred and forty-two more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 26,318 recoveries.

There were 3,104 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Feb. 24. To date, 568,314 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
