There are just two new cases of COVID-19, as of July 8.
One new case is in the Saskatoon region, while the other is in the North.
There are now 808 reported COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan. Currently, there are 47 active cases, with five active cases in the South region.
Three people are in hospital receiving inpatient care — two in the North and one in Saskatoon.
Another nine people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 746 recoveries.
Of the 808 cases in the province:
- 168 cases are travellers;
- 483 are community contacts (including mass gatherings);
- 113 have no known exposures; and
- 44 are under investigation by local public health.
On a regional level, 338 of the cases are from the Far North, 191 are from the Saskatoon area, 120 from the North, 80 from the Regina area, 66 from the South, and 13 from the Central region.
Fifteen deaths have been reported to date.
A total of 70,875 COVID‐19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.
