182 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths reported, 110 recoveries

Four Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Two deaths were reported in the 60 to 69 age group from the North West zone and two deaths were reported in the 70 to 79 age group from the Regina (1) and South Central (1) zones.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 372.

There are 182 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Feb. 21, 2021.  

The new cases are located in the Regina (56), Saskatoon (48), Far North East (22), Far North West (11), North West (10), Central East (7), North Central (5), South Central (5), North East (4), Far North Central (2), Central West (2), South West (1), and South East (1) zones.

All five cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Eight cases have pending residence information.  

Four previously reported cases with pending residence information were assigned to the North Central (2), Far North Central (1), and North West (1) zones. 

There are now 27,620 reported cases, including 1,670 active cases. 

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 153 (12.5 new cases per 100,000).  

There were 2,428 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 60,743.  

The 2,428 doses were administered in the South Central (874), Regina (534), Central East (482), Saskatoon (422), and North West (116) zones. The South Central zone has reported an additional 493 doses administered on Feb. 18. A correction for Feb. 19 resulted in two doses removed from the Central East zone.

One hundred and seventy-six people are in hospital. One hundred and sixty-three people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (60), Regina (46), North West (15), North Central (14), Central East (8), Far North West (6), South East (5), Far North Central (2), Far North East (2), North East (2), South Central (2), and Central West (1). Thirteen people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (8), Regina (2), North West (1), North Central (1), and Central East (1).

One hundred and ten more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 25,578 recoveries.

There were 2,186 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Feb. 20. To date, 559,078 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
