180 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths reported, 245 recoveries

Two Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. The deaths were reported in the Saskatoon zone. One individual was in the 70 to 79 age group and one was in the 80-plus age group.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 348.

There are 180 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Feb. 10, 2021.

The new cases are located in the Regina (58), Saskatoon (43), Far North West (22), North Central (19), North West (17), Central East (5), South East (4), Far North East (3), North East (2), Far North Central (1), Central West (1), and South Central (1) zones.

The new case in the South Central is located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Four cases have pending residence information. 

Six pending residence cases have been assigned to the following zones: Far North East (3), Far North West (1), North West (1), and North East (1).

There are now 25,843 reported cases, including 1,968 active cases.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 201 (16.4 new cases per 100,000 population). 

There were 638 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 45,371. With this, 102 per cent of the doses received have been administered to date. This overage is due to efficiencies in drawing extra doses from vials of vaccine received.

The 638 doses were administered in the following zones: Far North West (256), Far North East (208), North East (67), North Central (46), Saskatoon (38), and Far North Central (23). Data corrections have found an additional 212 doses in the Central West zone administered on Feb. 6 and 8.

One hundred and ninety-six people are in hospital. One hundred and sixty-eight people are receiving inpatient care: Saskatoon (59), Regina (45), North Central (24), North West (19), Central East (10), Far North West (5), South East (3), Far North East (1), North East (1), and South Central (1). Twenty-eight people are in intensive care: Saskatoon (10), Regina (10), Central East (3), North West (2), North Central (2), and South West (1).

Two hundred and forty-five more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 23,527 recoveries. 

There were 2,353 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on February 9, 2021. To date, 533,179 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
