18 new COVID-19 cases, 30 recoveries

There are 18 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on July 14, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Regina (6), Saskatoon (3), South East (3), Far North West (2), Far North East (2), North West (1), and North Central (1). 

There are now 49,322 reported cases, including 363 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 39 (3.3 per 100,000).  

There are no additional deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 573.

No new lineage results were reported for Variants of Concern today. Of the 7,747 VOCs with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing in Saskatchewan, 6,952 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 408 are Gamma (P.1), 377 are Delta (B.1.617.2) and 10 are Beta (B.1.351).

A total of 12,287 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,829), Saskatoon (2,131), South East (1,153), South Central (890), North West (845), Central East (651), North Central (637), South West (414), Far North West (334), Central West (149), Far North East (87), North East (81), and Far North Central (4). There are 82 screened VOCs with residence pending.

An additional 6,358 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,313,423.

The additional 6,358 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered to residents living in the following zones: Saskatoon (1,677), Regina (1,260), North West (770), North Central (525), South East (428), Central East (410), South West (347), South Central (200), North East (193), Central West (164), Far North West (50), Far North East (45), and Far North Central (6). There were 283 doses administered with zone of residence pending.

There are 54 people in hospital. Forty-five people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Far Saskatoon (22), Regina (12), North West (4), North Central (3), South East (2), North East (1), and Central East (1). Nine people are in intensive care in the following zones: Regina (4), Saskatoon (3), North West (1), and North Central (1).

Thirty more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 48,386 recoveries. 

There were 1,350 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on July 13. To date, 938,434 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
