176 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths reported, 131 recoveries

Three Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Two deaths were reported in the 70 to 79 age group in the Regina and South Central zones. One death was reported in the 50 to 59 age group in the Saskatoon zone.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province to 404.

There are 176 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Mar. 12, 2021.

The new cases are located in the Regina (67), Saskatoon (31), Central East (18), North West (16), North Central (11), Far North East (10), North East (8), South West (3), South Central (2), South East (2), Far North West (1), and Far North Central (1), zones.  

Both of the new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Six are pending location information.

Two previously reported cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Regina zone.

There are now 30,369 reported cases, including 1,437 active cases.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 134 (11.0 new cases per 100,000).

An additional 2,692 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 98,571.

The 2,692 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered in the following regions: North Central (815), Saskatoon (490), Regina (461), North West (365), South East (317), Central East (237), and Far North Central (7).

One hundred twenty-nine people are in hospital. One hundred and two people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (43), Regina (32), North West (10), North Central (6), Central East (5), Far North West (2), South East (2), Far North East (1), and South Central (1). Twenty-seven people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (13), Regina (10), Central East (2), North West (1), and North Central (1).

One hundred thirty-one more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 28,528 recoveries.

There were 2,990 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Mar. 11. To date, 605,982 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
