The outbreak in the Maple Creek area continues to affect the province's COVID-19 numbers, as there is another 13 new cases to report today, June 26.
Ten of the new cases are in the South and are connected to the Maple Creek outbreak. Two of the other new cases are in the North, with another in the Far North region.
There are now 772 reported COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan, including 105 active cases. There are 38 active cases in the South alone.
Nine people are currently in hospital. Eight people are receiving inpatient care — four in the South, three in the North and one in Saskatoon — while one person is in intensive care in Saskatoon.
A total of 654 people have recovered.
Of the 772 cases in the province:
- 163 cases are travellers;
- 465 are community contacts (including mass gatherings);
- 103 have no known exposures; and
- 41 are under investigation by local public health.
On a regional level, 317 of the cases are from the Far North, 186 are from the Saskatoon area, 114 from the North, 80 from the Regina area, 63 from the South, and 12 from the Central region.
Thirteen deaths have been reported to date.
A total of 63,116 COVID‐19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.
