The 18th Annual Moose Jaw Business Excellence Awards, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and WOW Factor Media, brought the white carpet to the Heritage Inn for a celebration of local business owners.
This year’s awards saw 65 nominees in 13 different categories, all in the running for Business of the Year and the People’s Choice Award, which the public could vote for online for two days prior to the night of the awards.
Each nominee featured was chosen because they represent the best of local business in the community, and this year, the Chamber of Commerce chose to focus on celebrating smaller businesses and their contributions.
The Business of the Year Award was presented to Penna’s Welding, and the People’s Choice Award, once the over 4,300 votes were tallied, was presented by Mayor Fraiser Tolmie to Rosie’s on River Street. The Business Leader of the Year was awarded to the late Mike Walz, accepted by his wife and children.

Impact: Church of God Born 2 Dance
