The Moffat Family Fund grants are distributed annually in communities across the country and are now accepting grant applications. The South Saskatchewan Community Foundation (SSCF) is facilitating these grants in support of the City of Moose Jaw and District on behalf of the Winnipeg Foundation which administers the Moffat Family Fund. Applications for Equipment Grants or Special Grants will be considered.

The vision of the Moffat Family Fund is a Canadian society where all individuals have equal opportunity to develop their potential and a mission to furtherance their vision, to enhance the quality of life and make a lasting difference in communities where Moffat Communications Limited conducted business. Moose Jaw is just one of these communities of approximately 12 in total. Its primary goal is to support and advance the economic, social, physical and intellectual well-being of children and families, consistent with and in furtherance of the vision and mission of the Moffat Family Fund.

The application process at the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation is via its Online Grant Portal.

In a recent press release, Executive Director of Moose Jaw Transition House, Jenn Angus said, “We applied through the SSCF online portal last year, which was such a convenient and simple process. We were so grateful to learn that our application was successful! We are incredibly thankful to the Moffat Family Fund for giving children and families impacted by domestic violence the opportunity to participate in healthy and fun activities, activities that they otherwise would not be able to do.”

More information about application guidelines and criteria, as well as access to the Online Grant Portal is available online.

The deadline to apply is February 28, 2020.
