Medical Office Assistant- Full Time Permanent 37.5 Hours per Week
Annual Salary of $43,667
Superior Family Health Team is seeking an enthusiastic, professional Medical Office Assistant, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join an innovative, community-based primary care team.
You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and physicians:
Answering phones
Greeting and registering patients
Initiating forms, creating billings and collecting payment for uninsured services
Scheduling and notifying patients of appointments
Scanning patient documents as required
Mail, receiving faxes, and distributing appropriately
Ability to lift
Participates in the training and orientation of new non-medical staff and students
Some Evenings/weekends
Off site specialty clinics may occur
Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Successful completion of a Health Office Administrative Assistant or Personal Support Worker or related field from a recognized post-secondary education institution
Minimum of three years of medical office experience for fast paced environment
Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act
