Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the QA Auditor provides ongoing surveillance of maintenance activities using established processes under the Quality Assurance Program designed to ensure compliance with the CARs, MPM and JDPM.
The QA Auditor will provide support to the SMS by communicating airworthiness risks and suggestions for corrective action to the Director of Maintenance. The QA Auditor will also assist with the quality systems development under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Carry out continuous auditing of the Stores, Technical Records, Maintenance departments and the SMS to ensure compliance with the CARs and MPM,
• Comply with all audit interval requirements in the QAP.
• Track all aircraft indoctrination/RTS dates to ensure the auditing requirements for each program are carried out.
• Deliver all reports, observations and finding to the Director of Maintenance.
• Carry out follow-up audits of all CAPS developed in the SMS and/or QAP to ensure compliance.
• Maintain all records of substantiation.
• Provide support for outside auditors (regulatory and customer).
• Oversee the Vendor Audit Program and maintain records thereof.
• Oversee and carry out the Annual Audit in conjunction with the audit team.
• Contribute data to the SMS as required to ensure all findings and trend data are tracked for
• Assessment.
• In collaboration with the Director of Maintenance, provide feedback and suggestions for
• Continuous improvement of the QAP.
• Duties are not limited to those described and may be added or changed through the course of role development and/or changes in operational needs, at the discretion of the Director of Maintenance or Certificate Holders.

Educational Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Requirements
• Certified Quality Auditor certification (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering or a related field required.
Qualifications
• 5 years in a Quality Assurance/Quality Control role (preferred)
• Strong clerical/computer skills, including record keeping ability to prepare detailed reports, and
Proficiency with Microsoft, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. (required).
• Understanding and application of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (preferred)
• Understanding of Process Control Principles.
• Ability to interpret large volumes of data to identify trends.
• Functional experience with Safety Management Systems (preferred)
• Preference will be given to persons with previous auditing experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.

Working hours:
Typically, working hours fall between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, though they may be adjusted as necessary.
