After about a month of competition, the 2025 Leagues Cup has reached its final, and on Sunday, Aug. 31, Inter Miami challenges Seattle Sounders FC for the trophy at Lumen Field in Seattle.

Inter Miami got to the final off the left foot of the icon, Lionel Messi. In a Florida Derby against Orlando City SC, Inter Miami found itself down 1-0 thanks to a goal right before halftime. Messi equalized the game with a penalty in the 77β², and then game his squad the lead in the 88β². Telasco Segovia got a goal in the 90β²+1β² to cap the scoring in the 3-1 victory.
Seattle secured a 2-0 victory over LA Galaxy thanks to taking an early lead with a Pedro de la Vega goal in the 7β² and then playing great defense. They limited the opposition to nine shots, and only four shots on goal, half as many as Seattle Sounders. Osaze De Rosario got one past the keeper in the 57β² and that sealed the win. The one negative coming out of the match for Seattle was a red card to Nouhou Tolo.
