The Study
The Town of Halton Hills is updating its Mobility Master Plan (formerly known as the Transportation Master Plan) to guide the development of its transportation system over the next 25 years. With expected population growth, changing living/working/travelling preferences, and increased environmental awareness, the Town needs a Mobility Master Plan for a transportation system that will grow and change with us.
The new Mobility Master Plan (MMP) will be a comprehensive strategy that supports future mobility planning with an emphasis on moving people by all modes of travel. It will build upon and integrate with other approved strategies and plans related to walking, cycling, transit, trucks, and automobile travel within Halton Hills from today to 2051.
The Process
The study is being conducted in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process for Master Plans under the Environmental Assessment Act and will satisfy Phases 1 (Identify Problem and Opportunity) and 2 (Identify and Evaluate Alternative Solutions) of the process.
The final deliverable will be a long-term strategy to guide transportation actions, policies, and investments in Halton Hills over the next 25 years.
