CN and CPKC Rail supplied a combined 94% of hopper cars ordered in grain week 49, reflecting an improvement from the 91% order fulfillment performance seen in week 48.

That's according to the Ag Transport Coalition.

In supplying 92% of cars ordered by shippers in week 49, CN saw performance improve from the 86% order fulfillment performance seen the prior week.

This marks the twelfth consecutive week that CN order fulfillment performance has reached or surpassed the 80% performance threshold, with the railway returning north of the 90% threshold for the third time in the last four weeks.

CPKC also saw performance improve, with the railway supplying 98% of shipper orders in week 49 as compared to the 95% order fulfillment performance seen in week 48.

This marks the ninth consecutive week the railway has posted performance of 90% or better.
