Fire claims two homes, two vehicles in overnight outbreak

The fire broke out in the E-block of the Prairie Oasis Trailer Court Sept. 23 and no injuries were reported

The Moose Jaw Fire Department and Moose Jaw Police Service responded to a fire in the early morning of Sept. 23 at the Prairie Oasis Trailer Court.

The fire broke out in a trailer unit on the E-block and fire crews arrived to find a "large fire" at the property. 

According to a report from the Moose Jaw Fire Department, the initial call was received at approximately 12:45 a.m. and was limited to one trailer unit. The fire then spread to a second adjacent trailer as the situation rapidly escalated. 

At approximately 6 a.m. fire crews reported that the fire had been put out. As a result, two residential homes and two vehicles were destroyed.

No injuries were reported, and everyone was safely evacuated from the properties. 

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
